The Role:

The Sales Manager reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine business unit progress toward stated goals and objectives. This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer of North America. 
Our client is a leading global supplier of original parts for the automotive industry, with over 40 years’ experience. Our client designs, develops, and produces filtration systems and flexible suspension components as well as air management and engine cooling systems
Duties and Responsibilities
 • Develops annual sales plan in support of business unit strategy and objectives.
 • Seek out new opportunities with existing products range and new products for continued business growth.
 • Negotiate product pricing and related contracts and agreements.
 • Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
 • Develops sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
 • Builds, develops, and manages sales and projects and service initiative.
 • Ensures communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements.
 • Performs other related duties as assigned especially for maximum margin development.
 • Works with business unit directors to develop and implement business unit strategies and tactics.
 • Other activities and responsibilities may be assigned.
 Skills and Abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
 • Must be capable of handling multiple projects at one time
 • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
 • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
 • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Requirements

 • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field required.
 • Minimum five years of experience in a sales or other related leadership role. 
 • Experience managing sales in a manufacturing environment a plus.
 • Experience in managing teams in different functions indirectly required.
 • Knowledge of sales and service systems development and deployment.
 • Experience working with diverse and multi-lingual teams is a plus.
