As a General Category Manager, for Lab Equipment, you will be accountable for all sourcing and contract management for the Lab Equipment category, supporting the Capex purchases across R&D and QC laboratories. This will include the development and implementation of category strategies; the contracting for master/service/product agreements within the categories and identification of appropriate buying channels; the management of supplier relationships that fall within scope and outside of the enterprise SRM structure for this category and for ensuring the suppliers key to the category commit to deliver GSK’s performance/quality/financial requirements

• Complex sourcing and category management role in GSK
• Key role in Strategy Development
• Contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation, and maintenance; manages / monitors ongoing negotiations with 3rd parties
• Will work across multiple countries requiring high cultural awareness
• Champions the sourcing group management process and policies across functions and links these to GSK's strategic direction
• Knows and utilises complex business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance requirements
• Implements and supports procurement strategies to maximise supplier leverage
• Significant external supplier knowledge
• Manage the end to end process to challenge sourcing approach and scope of the business requirements. Challenge and drive continuous improvements with in-house Vs third party Vs outsourcing approach.
• Manage Lab Equipment strategies and collaborate where there are synergies with other global procurement groups and/or categories Direct & Sites, Lab Services, FC&L, Staffing, etc.

• BS Procurement, Business, Finance, or scientific
• 7 years of experience in procurement supporting global Capex and Opex activities
• 7 years of experience negotiations and contract management skills

Pay: $117,300.00 - $158,700.00 per year
