Korellis Roofing is Hiring a Remote Director of Operations

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
The goal of this position is to oversee daily field, yard, and shop operations, ensuring all are managed
and performed efficiently and effectively. The Director of Operations is responsible for developing and
supporting field leaders and their crews.
Everyone’s function within the company requires team members to be cooperative and helpful to the rest
of the team. It is expected that each member of the team will assist others and that respect and
cooperation will be provided. Korellis has an open-door policy and requires a teamwork approach and
sharing of responsibilities. Any candidate should be able to adopt this mindset and co-exist within our
collaborative environment.
Experience/Education/Requirements

  • 5 years of construction operation knowledge
  • Valid pre-hire and ongoing drug testing; MVR and background screenings
  • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred, but not required

Description of Duties

  • Ownership of all field operations to maximize efficiency, profitability, and logistics of projects and
crews

o Develop and use advanced planning skills for establishing productivity of manpower,
equipment, etc. to ensure projects start within required timelines

o Schedule all manpower for production crews
o Understanding of current and upcoming project schedule
o Anticipate and react to inclement weather events

  • Minimum two jobsite visits per week, encompassing all trades
  • Partner with Senior Management to understand and execute the Operations function as it relates
to the Strategic Plan including talent needs, recruitment, and retention
  • Coordinate manpower needs with Human Resources
  • Effectively supervise and hold accountable all direct reports to work efficiently, toward their goals,
and within their various job descriptions
  • Handle discipline and present Corrective Action Forms to applicable employees in conjunction

with Human Resource Manager/Safety Manager in accordance with company policy; oversee
disciplinary meetings and terminations

  • Develop and foster relationships with all affiliated unions regarding manpower and training needs
  • Expedite new ideas with specific implementation dates
  • Schedule and attend foremen, right hand, sheet metal, masonry, and leadership meetings
  • Presentation of company process improvements and employee recognition at monthly safety

meetings
• Oversee Yard & Logistics Manager and Lead Mechanic; overall yard and shop operations
• Oversee Workforce Development Manager and Training Center

o Ensure standard curriculums for all trades are implemented and followed
o Enforce training participation across all field employees

  • Provide gestures of goodwill to team, including, but not limited to: meals, Korellis-branded
merchandise, etc. to promote employee-centric atmosphere
  • Understand purpose, process, and participation in Crisis Management Program
  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Support the company’s safety policy
  • Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and employee information

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proficiency or ability to learn and adapt to additional proprietary software programs, including
Smartsheet, Vista, Whiparound, Dataforma, truck software management programs, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize conflicting demands from various departments
and personnel
  • Must stay familiar with company products, installation methods, and workmanship standards
  • Maintain open door policy; provide timely response to emails, phone calls, and texts
