HR Generalist

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid at Casa Grande, AZ

Opportunity:We are growing! Kohler has begun construction on a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility on 200 acres in the industrial corridor of Casa Grande, AZ.We are looking for passionate talent to join our leadership team.This role will be based at our Casa Grande facility once it is open.The role will work hybrid onsite and remote leading up to the opening.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team at Kohler’s new state-of-the-art facility in Casa Grande, AZ. The HR Generalist provides support for Company strategic objectives by delivering conscientious quality service to all levels within the Organization.In this role, you will continually and consistently invest in our most valuable assets, our associates, by educating to maximize contributions, enhance growth opportunities, and seek new talent.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance for employment, compliance, compensation, training, employee relations, and other Human Resource functions.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management to ensure adequate coverage of staffing needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee Stewardship, Sustainability, and Employee Engagement programs and associated events and activities in support of the key cultural beliefs of the Company and plant.
  • Administer all performance appraisal processes including annual merit reviews for hourly associates; provide input and guidance to management to ensure actions meet guidelines and provide unilateral consistency.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews of non-exempt and exempt applicants.
  • Coordinate development of effective training program(s).
  • Oversee development/maintenance of effective working relationships within Kohler and external agencies.
  • Responsible for recruitment of all positions for the Kohler Casa Grande location, including analyzing talent management processes to maintain effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
  • Administer unemployment and shared work claims for the Casa Grande plant.
  • Assist the HR Manager in conducting HR investigations, counsel employees on disciplinary actions and performance problems, and record all supporting documentation.
  • Implement policies and procedures in adherence to Federal and State laws, and in conjunction with Company policies and procedures.
  • Train management and staff on HR/Company policies and procedures, advise management, and enforce unilateral consistency.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field; education requirements can be substituted with one year of experience to each year of education; HR certification preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition roles.
  • Must have general knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience with event coordination and/or party planning is highly desired.
  • Must be a self-directed team player and have computer proficiency.
  • Must have advanced communication and interpersonal skills with ability to respectfully explain HR policies, procedures, and actions.
  • Must have ability to respectfully discuss issues that may be controversial/sensitive or where variation in interpretation is possible.
  • Must be able to work independently and perform detailed work while exercising critical analyses, independent judgment, and discretion.
  • Must be able to achieve results under tight deadlines.
