Role Purpose

Lead brand consistency and delivery excellence through managing the brand standards governance and publication process.

Key Accountabilities

The Manager, Brand Consistency & Delivery Excellence has responsibility for brand integrity as well as to drive consistency and excellence in hotels through partnering with standard owners to ensure the right brand standards are put in place and measured

Brand Standards – Manage the Standards to deliver the Build and Operate manuals for all brands in the responsible region(s). Specific areas include:

  • Manage the regionalization of the brand framework to deliver locally relevant, consistent and measurable brands in the region. Working closely with the project manager to ensure timely delivery of each phase of the project.
  • Leverage insight and understanding of the regional needs to drive both consistency and relevance in the regional & global standards.
  • CMS content entry and general management.
  • Create branded PDFs to supplement the OBSM manuals
  • Evolve Brand Standards process
  • Continuously improve OBSM functionality

Waivers – Manage the wavier review and approval process for the responsible region(s).

  • Review submissions and gather supplemental details to assist with validating the request.
  • Provide reporting to standard owners, identifying trends and patterns as well as propose solutions to address.

Projects – May be asked to manage ad hoc projects as needed. Examples

  • Photo reviews
  • Partnership activations

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

Graduate/Bachelor’s degree

Experience

This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong interest in brand management and hotel operations. It requires the ability to work across all brands, hotels and functions internally, as well as with several key stakeholders. Strong attention to detail is a must, along with the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. Additionally:

  • Hotel or travel industry or experience within brand management
  • Culturally sensitive, experience of working across AMER
  • Strong project management & co-ordination skills, ability to lead complex multi-stakeholder initiatives

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • High understanding of IHG culture, strategy and business risks
  • High level critical thinking & problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning & management skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • High ability to detect and resolve problems
