KNOUSE FOODS, a premier fruit processer with locations in Adams and Franklin Counties, is hiring a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR at our Peach Glen facility. We are looking for growth oriented individuals who are able to work a flexible shift and be available to work at all of our facilities, if necessary. The ideal candidate shall have 2 years of leadership experience. This position is primarily on 2nd shift but must be available to cover all shifts if needed.

Qualified candidates shall have the ability to:

• Solve practical problems
• Work under the pressure of deadlines
• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Communicate and lead others – bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Rotate between 1st and 2nd shifts

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following

(Performs other assignments or duties as required.)

1. Ensures efficient process operation by observing production line and tracking production numbers and figures.

2. Plans for pending production by ensuring materials are in stock and available, taking inventory, and reviewing schedules.

3. Ensures employee safety by checking safety equipment, ensuring proper usage, and training employees with safety policies and procedures.

4. Maintains staff and ensures results by training employees of processes and procedures, completing performance appraisals, disciplining when necessary, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness.

5. Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Contributes to the company effort by continually looking for ways to improve productivity and customer orientation within department by use of better technology, procedures, and use of resources.

6. Maintains professional and technical knowledge/skills by using the performance appraisal system to access personal strengths and development needs to accomplish the strategic goals of the organization.
