The ideal candidate for our Medical Billing/Collections Clerk position must be motivated, ambitious, patient focused, and a team player. This position requires a professional with a strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills. Our small office requires dependability, excellent work habits and attendance. It is a must that the candidate have a passion for patient care and helping people. High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of two years billing/insurance experience is required. Chiropractic knowledge a plus. Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Insurance and Private Collections/ Insurance Denials / Appeals
• Insurance filing (electronic / paper), Data Entry of Payments / Adjustments
• Provide direct support to the Billing Manager
• Patient scheduling and interaction
• Data entry for all new patients and insurance updates
• Payment posting and preparing deposits for payments
• Perform A/R follow up and tracking
• Phone calls
• Insurance Verifications/knowledge of how health insurance works
• Personal Injury coverage and claims experience
