Job Description

OUR TEAM

Kinship Program Management Team, part of the Technology Department, is rapidly growing and is looking for a Scrum Master to run multiple cross-functional projects. These projects span across various departments within technology, engineering, IT and Product. The Technical Project Manager role will manage day-to-day tasks and execute these projects.

HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for running various cross functional projects sponsored by tech and report to the Principal Technical Program Manager. This team partners closely with business and Wisdom Panel Teams to help manage various programs within Kinship brands as well as work streams that interact and partner with our parent organizations like Mars Petcare and Mars digital teams.

This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with engineering, project management, and product to keep track of various parallel projects within tech and continue to provide cross-functional visibility, track progress and escalate/remediate road blocks. You will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, to execute day-to-day project operation, and adept at synthesizing a variety of inputs to deliver high quality products and solutions. The ideal candidate should have thrived and succeeded in executing SCRUM based projects delivering broadly adopted technology products or services in a very high growth environment. You should be a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence. You should have keen business sense and also have developed a deep understanding of technology.

Qualified candidates have experience executing projects in parallel, track dependency, mapping product requirements to engineering functional specifications, leading large cross functional teams and successfully delivering complex programs at high scale. As a Technical Project Manager you will be assisting the Principal Tech Program Manager to execute program visions and help establish program details. You are also comfortable in driving change, developing strategic technical initiatives, while being able to dive deep through the use of data.

As a Technical Project Manager you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus constraints. An ability to navigate sophisticated systems and initiatives, breaking them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are critical to success in this role.

  • Lead day-to-day SCRUM projects or initiatives, having a clear and constant understanding of priorities to ensure expected outcomes are delivered.
  • Communicate projects progress across stakeholders, sponsors, and executive leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and to ensure programs maintain forward momentum toward clear outcomes.
  • Understand system APIs and interdependencies and lead cross-functional teams to align and deliver on technical solutions.
  • Ensure clear accountability, timelines, and continuous change management to deliver timely, high-quality results.
  • Acts as a champion for Agile and Lean principles across the organization
