We are searching for a Senior Project Manager in Portland, Oregon!
BKF Engineers has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager specializing in Public Works/Capital Improvement projects. The ideal candidate would have experience with managing projects, client communication, staff, and business development as well as be able to plan, design and coordinate projects from beginning through completion.
As a Public Works Project Manager, you will represent BKF in all regular communications with the client from the initial effort, through the entire course of agreement activity, and in post-agreement marketing activities. Regular communication with assigned BKF Principals and office managers is required and essential in relation to project status and performance. You will be responsible for managing the BKF project as a whole as well as all of the details involved.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain ongoing client relationships, pursue new professional connections, and seek new project opportunities with new and current clients.
• Prepare technical sections of project proposals, and participate in interview presentations.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control project team activities, including but not limited to; review and/or supervise technical aspects of work as well as defining the project scope, budget and schedule.
• Have primary responsibility for quality control and be the primary client contact for each project.
• Set goals, evaluate staff performance, and serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced staff members.
• Coordinate staff resources with other PM's and Principals throughout the company.
• Participate in contract negotiations, approve client billing, and secure contract amendments for changes to scope and fees.
• Communicate project requirements to all team members.
• Commit resources of the firm issuing start and stop orders relating to the project progress and client's directives within contract requirements.
• Provide input to group Principal regarding hiring and staffing.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in public works site development, capital improvement projects, and public building site development.
• B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required.
• Professional Civil Engineering license in the State of Oregon or the State of Washington is required.
• Expected experience in designing a range of public works and capital improvement projects including roadways and bridges, water and wastewater systems, utility infrastructure, and/or public facilities from feasibility through design and construction, to demonstrate a diverse skill set.
• Anticipated familiarity with additional areas, such as stormwater management, parks and trails, transit facilities, environmental permitting, on-call assignments, and/or ports and aviation, showcasing versatility and adaptability in managing public infrastructure projects.

Pay:

• The typical base salary range for this position is $149,000 - $175,000 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is a salaried position paid biweekly.
