PetExec is the industry leading SaaS platform for pet boarding and daycare. We are looking for a great developer to work with us as we take PetExec to the next level. As part of the PetExec engineering team, you will join a group that cares about writing clean code, collaborating, taking ownership of their work, and being open-minded to learning new technologies. Your ideas, design and code will make a real difference in the growing field of pet care technology. This is an exciting time to join Kinship as we scale out our products and create the pet care platform of the future. 

We are looking for a great developer who is proficient with React.js and React Native. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust, testable and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Integrate with RESTful APIs

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• HTML/CSS - Need a strong background on how to style websites. Familiar with Bootstrap. Knowing a preprocessor such as Sass is a plus
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with building PHP based web applications
• Knowledge on how to integrate with RESTful APIs
• Ability to mock up designs with tools such as Figma, Sketch, etc. Able to convert the mock ups into code 
• Knowledge on OAuth2 authentication and authorization
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git
• Experience with common development tools such as Node, Yarn, NPM, etc.
• Ability to create testable components
• Standard understanding on relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
