Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

The wide variety of tasks a Program Manager may fulfill include, but are not limited to, account management and program development; project management and coordination with external partners; team coordination and execution of sales and program initiatives including lead generation and business development; planning and oversight to customer forecasts and project requirements; influencing successful achievement of sales targets and strategic goals; and tracking program success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Performing key Project Management roles to ensure successful execution and create bandwidth for Sales Team to forward sell
  • Manage a Lead Generation Program in coordination with External Partners and Internal Sales Team, driving activity into a focused, joint Sales Pipeline for Opportunity and Business Development
  • Building and leading cross-functional internal and external development teams using resources from all functional areas of each partner company, primarily interfacing with Product Management and Procurement and Inventory Management
  • Developing comprehensive program development plans that align with departmental strategies and appropriately balance organizational capability with business requirements
  • Communicating all aspects of program status and risks including identification and resolution/escalation of issues threatening program success
  • Ensuring quality of execution of all aspects across development programs
  • Utilities knowledge, specifically of Broadband or Communications networks with Electric Cooperatives or Investor Owned Utilities, is ideal
  • General experience with Broadband or Communications based Products and Professional Services in Central Office or OSP environments preferred
  • This position either reports to the AVP of Customer Care or Utilities Sales

Safety Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
  • Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a two or four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • No major critical thinking required. Work follows established job aids and business rules. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
