We’re looking for our next best Service Shop Manager!

The Service Shop Manager manages daily operations by providing leadership. This position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.

The main purpose of the Service Manager is to plan and direct operations while improving productivity, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure repairs or other tasks are performed in a correct, cost effective and timely manner.
• Monitor shop equipment, operating conditions and facility conditions, and make repairs and purchases (as needed).
• Maintain a high level of knowledge and practical experience through training, hands-on experience, and reading.
• Cater to customer concerns.
• Take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution; resolve issues in a professional, expedient manner.
• Delegate tasks and accountabilities (as needed).
• Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities.
• Improve operational systems, processes, and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.
• Improve customer service experience and create engaged customers facilitating company growth.
• Keep accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions.
• Highly Competent in repair and service duties.
• Direct the maintenance of shop cleanliness and appearance in accordance with company policies and management directives.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the shop, personnel or customers.
• Assist audits and quality control checks.
• Monitor productions KPI’s.
• Ensure a positive work environment.
• Monitor work schedule(s).
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance (when needed).
• Keep ahead of industry developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement.

Requirements:

• Previous Shop Management experience (preferred)
• ASE Certified (preferred)
• Mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnosis.
• Has strong leadership skills and is able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Follow through with assignments and has a willingness to help and/or delegate accordingly.
• Is Autonomous and accountable and willing to tackle problems.
• Strong conflict resolution skills with customers and vendors
• Leads by example and maintains a positive and helpful attitude.
• Possess solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Manages time efficiently and is detail oriented.
• Computer literate and technology saavy.
• Excels at working in a fast pace, community environment.
• Demonstrates commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace.
