KENZO is Hiring a Store Manager - Soho Near New York, NY

Position

Artistic Director Nigo’s goal is to reconnect with the values entrenched in the early beginnings of the Maison: designer fashion crafted for real life, imbued with the playful urbanity of KENZO’s timeless legacy. In a creative exchange, KENZO has become an evolving dialogue between the pop culture of the founder’s heritage and the street culture inherent to Nigo.

KENZO is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Store Manager to lead its team at the Soho location!

Acting as a true Brand Ambassador, the Store Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the store. The role requires someone who can drive profitable performance by motivating the team, developing a strong client base, and ensuring a compelling customer experience.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

Brand ambassador:

  • Carry and communicate an authentic passion and pride for the brand.
  • Embody the brand image for customers and the store team showing a solid understanding of the brand DNA.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating behavior that reflects Kenzo's values and the ambition of the business objectives.

General Store Visuals / Client Management:

  • Implement and maintain all visual guidelines.
  • Maintain store standards to always reflect an elevated brand image.
  • Improve customer service standards to ensure outstanding service is consistently delivered to all guests and clients.
  • Develop and drive a CRM strategy.
  • Ensure standards for quality of the selling ceremony, customer service, and post sales service.
  • Effectively model personal presentation standards to lead as an example that is consistent with brand requirements.

Sales / Business Monitoring:

  • Lead and empower the team to increase sales and deliver efficiency.
  • Manage stock levels in the boutique making sure sufficient merchandise is available to achieve targets.
  • Ensure stock loss is minimized by conducting weekly cycle counts and bi-annual inventories.
  • Liaise with Managing Director to set sales and measurable targets for the team
  • Monitor and communicate market trends in the retail industry to build driven strategies for the store and brand.
  • Supervise sales performance, analyze results, and forecast trends to propose action plans to improve sales.

Team Management / Back of House Operations:

  • Schedule consistent group and individual monthly reviews with the team to communicate clear objectives, recognize success, and provide performance feedback.
  • Consistently Coach, Train, and Develop the sales team to ensure a hard-working atmosphere.
  • Ensure all Company policies and procedures are adhered to and take the time to clearly message when they are not.
  • Submit weekly reports to the relevant collaborators in US and Paris.
  • Build positive relationships with local and remote partners.

Additional information

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 years’ experience in a luxury retail environment, with a minimum of 2 years directly managing people
  • Previous work experience with a European and/or Luxury brand strongly desired
  • Knowledge of the local market preferred
  • Entrepreneurial perspective and ability to succeed in constantly evolving environments
  • College Degree preferred
  • Ability to analyze selling reports and identify business trends and opportunities
  • Confirmed experience driving positive customer interactions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Passion to encourage and influence a team with a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

The compensation for this position ranges from $92,000 - $115,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
