At Kemper Life, we are firmly committed to servicing the insurance needs of low to moderate income families. As a home service company, we are dedicated to frequent personal contact with our customers for new premium issue, premium collection and other service needs.

Responsibilities:

Agents are each assigned a territory (called an agency) with an established book of in-force business.

Day to day activities include:

  • Conducting interviews, recommending products, closing sales, and using our selling system
  • Continuously prospecting for sales opportunities
  • Collecting premiums from policyholders, based on a pre-arranged schedule
  • Responding promptly to policyholder service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, loans, etc
  • Keeping records, accounting for money collected, and processing paperwork

Expectations:

Our agents are each expected to:

  • Increase the agency size- In sales growth is what pays the most
  • Build good working relationships with customers (existing and new customers)
  • Devote whatever time is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
  • Commit to ongoing development of knowledge and skills

Preparation:

  • Extensive on-the-job training allows new agents to earn a paycheck while learning their profession.
  • Licensing – Here in Florida we require a 215 life and health as well as the P&C 2044. If you have the 220 then you do not need the others. We will pay you to study and get your license. Study material is thru ExamFX which we provide. The licensing part is thru the state of Florida.
  • Basic Training – During the first 26 weeks, new agents complete a basic development program that includes self-study, classroom time, role-play, and extensive fieldwork with your manager. We believe in hands on training to prepare you for the position and give you the best opportunity to be successful. We continue training constantly thru joint field work on a weekly rotation between the managers and the agents in the field.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sales background or desire to learn is important
  • Florida 215 and 2044 license or the 220 all lines, We will help obtain if new to the industry.
  • Customer service experience- Prefer but not required 3 yrs min
  • The ability to visit customers door to door
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with required insurance (100/300)
  • Dependable vehicle as daily travel is required
  • Ability to meet the requirements of a background check, motor vehicle report check and drug test
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,986.00 - $90,162.00 per year
