Description
· Develop and administer policies, procedures, and reporting procedures in compliance with all laws and regulations in support of organizational objectives.
· Identifies legal and contractual requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources.
· Keep records of personnel actions and benefit plan participation, including but not limited to, insurance and retirement plan (401k) eligibility and participation, recruitment, selection and hiring, promotions and transfers, performance evaluations, disciplinary action and terminations, and employment statistics for government and company reporting.
· Coordinates and provides training regarding recruitment, interviewing, hiring, new employee orientation, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, equal employment, sexual harassment, and other topics.
· Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Investigates grievances, document findings, and advises supervisors, managers, and employees of appropriate corrective action.
· Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Reviews and recommends modifications to policies, procedures, and programs to the CEO/President.
· Conducts wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rate and administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and pay equity.
· Administers benefit programs such as life and health insurances, retirement plan, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Monitors cost, utilization, and plan amendments and contracts with suppliers to provide employee services and benefits.
· Provides oversight and instruction on employee separation notices and related documentation. Travel may be necessary to assist in termination of supervisory staff members.
· Monitors turnover data and administers exit interview program to determine reasons behind separations.
· Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
· Audits facility and corporate personnel files on an annual basis to ensure compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Federal government contracting and multi-state HR management experience preferred.
Ideal candidate must be a self-starter and be able to manage multiple projects and priorities while exercising discretion and sound judgement in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.
*Must be able to work overtime, including nights and weekends, as needed. Up to 40% of travel overnight or longer may be required to visit operating locations, attend training, or conduct business on behalf of the company.
