A publicly traded biotech company located in Boston, MA is active in their search for a permanent Senior Accountant. Reporting to an Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant role seeks an accomplished individual with a strong foundation in accounting and a proactive approach to building. This position entails active involvement across various accounting and financial reporting facets, offering opportunities for collaboration across departments and visibility to upper management.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to critical aspects of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures, encompassing cash management, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, and accrued expenses, in conjunction with collaborating with diverse business counterparts.
• Engage in day-to-day transactional accounting functions, including managing cash activities and processing accounts payable.
• Assume responsibility for preparing designated sections of financial statements.
• Prepare documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audits, including liaising with external auditors.
• Aid in the maintenance and refinement of our general ledger system (Netsuite), procure-to-pay platform (Coupa), and company master data.
• Assist in process enhancement initiatives and ensure the efficacy of our SOX 404 controls.
• Undertake additional ad hoc projects in coordination with the Accounting Manager and Controller, as required.
