Scheduler:

Establishes, maintains, and reviews schedules; matches available staff to posts; prints and distributes schedules; minimize avoidable overtime; contacts and redeploys staff to fill call-offs; responds to schedule changes and client requests within any Scheduling software (We are currently using Celayix).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Schedules Security Officers and manages the scheduling process to optimize operating results and to keep avoidable overtime to a minimum; resolves staffing issues and problems.
• Maintains site coverage at all times; tracks requests for time off including vacation and personal leave requests to ensure site coverage; respond to emergency situations, call-offs, and absences to ensure that client sites have coverage; acts as the call-in center for remote posts.

• Maintains current knowledge of site contracts and requirements, Security Officer training, availability and time worked, and client exclusion lists.
• Coordinates scheduling changes with Dispatch, Human Resources, Operations, supervisors, and staff.
• Ensures that adequate floaters are available to cover vacancies created by absences and call-offs.
• Briefs Supervisors on changes to post schedules and new Security Officer schedules.
• Advises Human Resources staff of openings as they occur.
• Recommends removal of Security Officers from posts based on client complaints, attendance problems, or other performance issues; advises management of any staffing problems that may arise as client requirements change.
• Must have and Maintain a Valid PERC license and 20 Hour Security Training certificate.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of Switchboard and Software scheduling experience are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, 3 Years of Scheduling Experience is a must.

• Must have advanced knowledge with the ability to work within Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, and office productivity software.
