Katana Safety Inc. is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Leader

JOB TITLE: INSIDE SALES LEADER

REPORTS TO: CEO

LOCATION: Onsite - Greenville, SC or Charleston, SC. If not based in Greenville, SC, occasional trips to the headquarters in Greenville will be required.

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Leader for Katana Safety will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to increase company market share through account development and educational services provided by the company. The inside sales manager’s responsibilities will include building and developing a team of inside sales professionals to achieve sales targets, a process to identify and nurture leads, and close sales. This role should be able to utilize market analysis tools to determine customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activity.

You will be responsible for promoting and selling our safety solutions to a wide variety of businesses and organizations with lone and remote workers. Utilizing your sales expertise, you will develop relationships with potential leads and recommend the best product solutions to fit their needs. You should have strong leadership skills and ensure that inside sales employees comply with company polices. Ultimately, an exceptional Inside Sales Leader should be able to communicate effectively with direct reports, team members, and customers. Problem solving and analytical skills are critical.

Essential Functions

  • Active player / coach role that significantly impacts revenue growth by getting involved with sales team on a deal-by-deal basis. Inclusive of continuous observing, listening, leading by example, operationalizing best sales practices, and enhancing sales techniques to improve outcomes.
  • Outbound sales responsibilities include prospecting, researching, and cold calling. Individual quota in additional to the team quota.
  • Hire, supervise, and manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives who are responsible for generating inside selling activity. Provide training, guidance, and feedback to team members.
  • Maintain current relationships within accounts, developing new business opportunities and increasing market share.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to meet revenue goals. Successfully execute a weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategy to increase market share through key account development including prospecting/diversification and call frequency/routing. Planned activity to maximize territory coverage of both existing and prospective accounts.
  • Update and refine marketing and sales call strategies.
  • Assist in the development of client service policies that promote good relations.
  • Responsible for executing effective sales calls that identify and meet the needs of the referral community while clearly communicating the features and benefits of KATANA Safety. These include pre- and post-call planning, establishing rapport, effective questioning skills, proposing solutions, handling objections and closing.
  • Work closely with the executive team to drive a vision of growth.
  • Prepare a selection of management and activity reports.
  • Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate the features and benefits of KATANA Safety devices and software, articulate competitive advantages, specialty programs, and product functionality.
  • Consistently building and managing a sales pipeline.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Accredited inside sales manager (AISM) and Certified inside sales professional (CISP) accreditations are preferred.
  • Minimum five years experience in an Inside Sales role and three years in an inside sales management role.

Skill Requirements

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills, including cold calling required.
  • Sales/results driven with a sense of urgency.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be self motivated.
  • Proven experience working as an Inside Sales Manager and outbound sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Hubspot experience is preferred.
