We are inviting you to apply for Kitchen Manager – Sortino’s Italian Kitchen; a new age red sauce restaurant where old-school Italian cuisine meets the modern age. Sortino’s Italian Kitchen is a casual restaurant and bar that brings to the Kalahari a tradition of hospitality established by Giorgio and Giacomo Sortino more than 60 years ago when they open.In this position, you’ll be responsible for the culinary operations of the restaurant in conjunction with other Kalahari culinary professionals. A Kitchen Manager, or Kitchen Supervisor, is the person who ensures that kitchen departments run smoothly and ensures that all kitchen and restaurant staff adhere to safety regulations. Their duties include supervising kitchen staff, organizing food orders, overseeing food preparation, cooking and examining food plating and temperatures. You’ll be involved in our managing process of hiring, training, ordering, scheduling, cleanliness and ensuring our concept is the best it can be!

Salary: $60,000-$75,000 per year

We do require that you have a background consisting of three years progressive culinary experience, managing teams of 3 or more members, and high-volume restaurant experience.
