General Summary of Duties:

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation and managing the team of Laundry Attendants to achieve operational objectives. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the department and property policies, practices and procedures.

Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):

• Receive, document, prioritize and coordinate requests for linen
• Organize, prepare work assignments and distribute clean linen to Linen Attendants for them to stock
• Ensure proper linen and terry inventory for carts
• Review, investigate, and communicate status of linen shortages to management
• Monitor and track laundry dry cleaning service accountable for daily deliveries
• Determine linen delivery/distribution priorities and communicate with Laundry Manager
• Assist with quality checks, track results, and follow up with management
• Assist with documenting and reporting monthly discard amounts
• Report faulty equipment, downtime, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to management
• Prepare discard linen for dying
• Receive new linen and verify invoices match quantity
• Monitor attendant productivity to ensure work is being completed to standard in a timely manner
• Ensure laundry area is cleaned and maintained
• Collect work assignment sheets, verify completion of work and follow up if needed
• Report all performance issues to Laundry Manager
• Oversee training of Laundry Attendants
• Develop and maintain positive working relationship with others
• Support laundry team to reach common goals
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
• Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
• Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in laundry cleaning operations
• Knowledge, understanding and compliance of policies and procedures, daily memorandums, chemical labels and other instructions

Education:

• High school education or equivalent
