Field Education and Relations, Licensed Veterinary Technician/RVT/CVT – New York City / East Coast Territory

Job Overview:

As a Veterinary Relations Specialist with an active LVT/RVT/CVT license, you will be on the front lines working to educate and build strong relationships with veterinary professionals. In this field outreach role, you will engage veterinary professionals with knowledgeable interactions and educational opportunities. You will be responsible for the New York City area and surrounding east coast regions. This position requires extensive travel and driving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage your ability to independently manage your territory and clinic base to provide high-level education about our products.
• Visiting hospitals.
• Presenting and hosting virtual / in-person educational sessions.
• Support JFFD retail locations by building positive relationships with surrounding veterinary hospitals.
• Educate and train veterinary clinic staff about our products while engaging in high-level customer service.
• Present JFFD’s values to industry professionals in a professional manner, including an understanding of our industry, nutrition, veterinary practice, operations, and processes.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of our products.
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports to your manager in a clean, concise manner.
• Analyze medical records.
• Attend trade shows and other educational events.
• Manage expenses and resources in line with company guidelines and directives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 1 years experience in the veterinary field
• Active LVT/RVT/CVT license a strong plus
• Bachelor's or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent social interaction and relationship building skills.
• Proven experience in successfully managing your own territories.
• Experience in the veterinary/animal health industry or human healthcare industries.
• Must be familiar with data collection and analysis using Microsoft Excel.
• Able to meet the requirements of a field role that include (but not limited to) extensive car travel (mileage reimbursement provided), occasional travel overnight if needed, as well as flexibility for potential weekend work (as needed) to attend tradeshows or other occasions and are able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Build and foster positive relationships with external veterinary professionals and practices; you should be comfortable going into veterinary clinics and hospital environments.
• Passion for nutrition.
• Candidates must reside within the New York City area.
