Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (“CCOR”) is part of broader RM&C, and as a CCOR P&A lead, you are expected to deliver value-added financial reporting and analysis and directly supports Chief Compliance Officers and manages overall financial responsibilities of their group. The role requires good analytical and organizational skills, be able to derive compelling stories from complex financial information, produce different views of data, and is solutions oriented. This role will cover specific CCOR functions as well as support overall central CCOR P&A team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage overall financial responsibilities for CCOR sub-groups, including the following:
    • Month-End Close: manage monthly financial close, forecast/outlook, and General Ledger review and investigations
    • Forecast: review financial performance and update outlook reflecting the current organization’s view and their future initiatives
    • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze performance and forecasts for direct and indirect expenses for CCOR sub-groups. This includes expense and headcount variance explanations, trend analysis, and monthly forecast updates
    • Annual Financial Planning: manage the annual plan by working with the key members, including Chief Compliance Officers, business managers, central Corporate P&A, and HR
  • Allocations: work with CCOR P&A leads and allocations team to assess and validate allocation methodologies for both incoming and outgoing allocations 
  • Client Partnership: partner with business leads to understand risks and opportunities, trends, future impacts and provide conclusions drawn from such
  • Ad hoc Reporting: Key business indicators, metrics reporting, EMR improvements, and many more
  • Automation/Process Improvements: identify ongoing process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Work in a hybrid environment (at least 60% office) taking advantage of in-office collaboration while enjoying the flexibility to work remote

Skills/Qualifications

  • Finance or Accounting undergraduate degree, preferred
  • 8 years of related work experience – prior P&A experience a plus
  • Advanced analytical skills; Can demonstrate the ability to think strategically, initiate change, and work towards continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills – role will require direct support of the senior member of Risk organization and need to articulate compelling financial story concisely, while managing complex financial data 
  • Self-motivated individual that demonstrates initiative and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong partnership skills
  • Computer literacy skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Hyperion/Essbase, SAP) and technical adaptability 
  • Intelligent Automation skills (Qlik, Tableau, Alteryx) a plus
