As a Data Risk & Privacy Practices Lead in the CCOR’s Global Data Risk Management & Privacy team (GDRM), you will provide second line oversight and credible challenge to the firm’s Chief Data Office. You will support the team’s coverage of operational and compliance risk for data, privacy, and data analytics. Additionally, you will be responsible for the effective execution of the CCOR framework and serve as a key member of the team providing oversight and credible challenge to the Firmwide Chief Data & Analytics Office. 

Job responsibilities

  • Oversee the functions alignment with the CCOR framework by ensuring timely updates to relevant policies and standards and completion of CCOR challenge to relevant risk assessments.
  • Manage timely reporting to CCOR senior management and relevant governance committees and forums regarding risks, control effectiveness, trends, and themes. 
  • Support engagements with regulators, audit, and controls management by gathering relevant data, working with stakeholders to create presentations, and/or ensuring timely responses to relevant requests.
  • Oversee effective issue management in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Support the team’s execution of monitoring and testing activities.
  • Support and report on team program, projects and initiatives, including reporting on the completion of key milestones and deliverables.
  • Disseminate training, awareness, and communication materials on related topics.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a financial institution
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in Compliance, Legal, Risk, Controls or Audit 
  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership and manages deliverables with a strong attention to detail and completes deliverables in a timely manner
  • Collaborates effectively with colleagues at all levels of seniority, across multiple lines of business and corporate functions and senior stakeholders across the organization
  • Ability to quickly understand and assess complex situations or processes, makes decisions and escalates when necessary
  • Strong analytical skill set, practical judgment, and influencing abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and succinctly demonstrate a sound understanding of the most relevant issues, risks, and concerns (including written communications) and provide an independent assessment
  • Possess strong project management, communication, problem solving and reasoning skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum three years of work experience in a Practices role.
