Description

The business analyst will act as a translator between IT and operational departments to document and analyze requirements for configuring and customizing the company’s ERP system, other applications, and business intelligence platforms. This position is expected to contribute to improving business processes, data quality, and the efficient development and delivery of new system functionality, reports, and data analytics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create, review, and edit requirements for business processes, reporting, and data analysis. 
•  Document existing business processes and procedures.
• Create data dictionaries and high-level data models.
•  Participate in the development of meeting objectives and assist in the facilitation of meetings. 
•  Develop and execute test plans in conjunction with system analysts and developers. 
•  Communicate needed changes to the development team. 
•  Participate in the training of staff on new system functionality.
•  Provide project management support.
• Willing and able to travel to Tijuana, Mexico as needed for business purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or similar field (preferred).
• 4 years proven working experience in a business analyst role.
• Experience in the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of business applications.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Extensive experience in the use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio to document business requirements, process flows, data elements, screen mockups, and other system design elements.
•  Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
•  Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile and Kanban.
