Joel Salsa Dance is a Latin dance school based in New York City. We offer different levels of Salsa On2 classes – Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced.

JoelSalsa Studio’s mission is to provide the highest level of artistic education and to inspire dancers & others around the world while keeping a loyal, friendly and encouraging atmosphere.

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our company, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our clients and visitors. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. If you have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you!

**PLEASE READ**
1. Candidate MUST READ and possess ALL REQUIREMENTS listed below BEFORE applying.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to work at the studio in the evenings starting at 5:30PM and Saturday afternoons
- Be able to work and coordinate our Monthly Social Event starting at 8pm (once per month)
- Bilingual in both English & Spanish

SKILLS:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Team player who can take feedback as well as give it
- Hand raiser and always looking to pitch in where needed, not limited to their duties
- Fast learner
- Capable of working well under pressure
- Confident in speaking in front of group of people
- Excellent communication skills and writing skills
- HIGH attention to detail as well the ability to multi-task
- Tech Savvy -Social Media knowledge (Facebook, Instagram etc)
- Takes initiative & resourceful
- Studio Software experience a plus!
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in customer support or administrative roles is preferred

Responsibilities:

- Set up studio rooms prior to class as well as making sure the flow of the studio runs smoothly
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and provide accurate information
- Registering Students online and in-person
- Be able to answer and help students efficiently and professionally
- Receiving and properly documenting payments and disbursements
- Make studio announcements amongst students
- Keeping a tally of students in each class
- Managing different email systems and registration systems
-Familiarize yourself with our class packages, pricing, and scheduling and be able to assist the students and guiding them to pick the best package that suits them
-Checking and answering emails, social media pages and reply accordingly
-Utilize the studio's social media pages by posting info, creating events, updates, pictures, videos, etc
- Coordinate and attend social events
