Job Title HR Generalist

Hiring Range: $75,000 - $80,000

Job Summary

Reporting to the PCIFS HR Manager, and located and working from either the Huntsville, AL or San Antonio, TX offices, the HR Generalist is an exempt level position and will be working on multiple projects to assist with meeting the scope and objectives for supporting the HR needs of PCI Federal Services and affiliated LLC’s. This position will monitor compliance with applicable Federal, State, OFCCP requirements as well as company policies, notify managers of potential issues and propose corrective action. Prepare and preserve personnel records, organizational charts, accident records, training records, and other human resources data.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implements Human Resources policies as a generalist, partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and resolves HR issues.
  • Responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison for most of the following areas: Talent support through onboarding and new hire orientations; employee files/documentation; employee relations, benefits support, EEO, and/or training and development.
  • Collects and analyzes HR data, and then makes recommendations to management. Processes paperwork for functional area(s) according to established procedures.
  • Prepares internal employee communications regarding such matters as employee relations or company policies.
  • Administers various human resources plans and programs, such as new hire orientation, training and development, and the performance management process.
  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Handles employee relations investigations and counseling.
  • Implements employee retention initiatives.
  • Conducts exit interviews to collect data.
  • May prepare the Affirmative Action Plan, EEO-1, Vets-100 and other compliance reporting.
Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in Human Resources or similar field.
  • 5 years of Human Resources Department experience as a general practitioner.
  • Extensive capabilities and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products and Share Point systems is required.
  • Experience working with Costpoint is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with HRIS software is required.
  • Experience in organizing and implementing projects, programs, and meetings to support the Human Resource function is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Experience working directly with HR documentation and high-level correspondence needs.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Travel As necessary in town, in state, and to other PCIFS locations as needed.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in an office environment. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
