JL Closets provides custom closet and storage solutions to clients in South Florida. Since its start in 1991,
JL Closets has evolved into a leader in the industry. Our company is expanding, and we are looking to
recruit a motivated Business Developer to generate new leads for the business.
**Job Summary:**
The Business Developer will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, particularly
targeting interior designers, custom homebuilders, and real estate developments. This role involves
extensive client visits and travel within Southeast Florida and other regions on the East coast of Florida
up to Jacksonville. Initially the Business Developer will be focused on Southeast Florida but over time
will venture further north up to Jacksonville. The Business Developer will have a remote admin who will
handle all of the business developers prospecting lists, daily route maps, and client emails, thereby
freeing up the business developer to focus on visiting clients and generating new business.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Visit a minimum of 20 prospective clients per day, unless a longer meeting is scheduled.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and prospecting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Meet remotely once/week with the Company CEO to review results.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Travel and overnight in hotels up to three nights per week as required.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in business development ideally targeting interior designers, custom homebuilders,
and real estate developments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have functioning vehicle and adequate insurance coverage (mileage will be reimbursed by the company)
- Must reside in Palm Beach, Broward, or Dade counties.
**Compensation:**
- Expected pay range $75,000 - $100,000 per year
- Base salary: $50,000.
- Commission: $200 per valid bid generated for the first bid from a company; $100 for each consecutive
bid from the same company, provided the business developer generates it.
- Vehicle mileage reimbursement.
- Hotel stay and Per diem when overnighting in a hotel.
- 8 days paid time off per year
