Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team. As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable department, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and managing customer payments. This is a key role within our finance department, and we are looking for someone who is highly organized, has strong analytical skills, and is able to effectively communicate with both internal teams and external customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
-Oversee and assist with day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable department
-Supervises, mentors, trains, and sets objectives and functions that align with the company’s goals, policies, and procedures the performance of the Accounts Receivable team, and holds employees accountable for meeting their job duties and responsibilities for the department
-Assists in preparing schedules and reports for the annual, quarterly, and monthly financial reporting and audit.
-Managing records of invoices, deposits, daily collection reports, cash application functions and all correspondence for the company
-Reconcile AR sub-ledger to GL, manage customer chargebacks, Audit delinquent accounts, monitor aging balances, and resolve as well as filing outstanding AR clams & disputes in a timely manner.
-Monitor trends and initiate corrective action to ensure maximum cash reimbursement, prompt payment for services rendered and uninterrupted cash flow.
-Monitor and maintain incoming cash receipts against customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
-Have the ability to deal with Small court clams, job site clams, liens and representing attorneys
-Help to create and maintain an environment of high morale, motivation, and teamwork
-Work with internal departments and department heads to regulate and resolve holds/release sales order in accordance with internal regulations.
-Work closely with Divisional Heads to ensure collection guidelines are adhered to and issued quickly resolved.
-Upkeep of Digital Records
-Perform related duties as well as other duties assigned by supervisor
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
-Bachelors degree from a credited 4 year college or University and 5 years related experience.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
-Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
-Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Adobe Pro and Quick Books)
-Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
-Ability to work in a group setting and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
-Notary Public, recommended but not required
