Southland Insulators in Manassas, Virginia is currently seeking an ambitious, energetic, and self-motivated individual to join our large, family owned and operated construction company as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This new team member should be very detail oriented, have excellent prioritization skills, be well organized and able to work in a very fast-paced office environment. Previous work in residential construction and/or administrative support is a plus. Candidate should have a basic knowledge of accounting and some experience in accounts receivable.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist handles functions to support the accounting team. The specialist performs tasks such as, but not limited to, billing clients, verifying transactions, monitoring incoming payments, and spotting accounting discrepancies. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, perform data entry, and communicate with clients via phone and email.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Provide all monthly billing for 2 small but growing companies within the Southland Insulators organization (Southland of Winchester and Mid Atlantic Party Wall)
• Assist other accounting and team members with billing for the parent company (Southland Insulators, Manassas)
• Review proposals and/or contracts to assure accuracy of billing
• Work with other staff (Accounting and Scheduling Team) to ensure correct amounts are billed and collected
• Work with other staff and Managers to ensure the correct amounts are billed to the correct entity
• Proficient use of current accounting software (Intacct)
• Maintain daily billing report and provide monthly summary
• Utilize vendor portals to submit invoicing, as necessary
• Ability to communicate with other team members and customers to resolve billing concerns
• Pay commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
