JFS is Hiring a Director of Clinical Services (Mental Health) Near Milwaukee, WI

Description

The Director of Clinical Services provides leadership to all clinic operations and ensures adherence to best practice standards and requirements for licensed/accredited outpatient mental health clinics in the State of Wisconsin, including Medicaid and Medicare. Oversees and monitors the clinic billing process, clerical and support staff, and provides administrative support and supervision. This position serves as a liaison between the clinic and all other departments, community, partner agencies, donors, and other stakeholders. The Director of Clinical Services is a member of the Senior Management Team and reports to the Vice President of Programs and Services.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for day to day operations of the clinic;
  • Responsible for supervision and oversight of department staff and functions;
  • Responsible for overseeing, maintaining and developing co-located clinic services, locations and relationships;
  • Ensure that clinical staff adheres to, and is compliant with, State of Wisconsin standards for outpatient mental health clinics as defined by DHS 35 and via monthly random chart audits;
  • Monitor client intake/therapist assignments and ensure appropriate caseload/practice balance;
  • Monitor activities such as productivity, billing, documentation, licensure and credential maintenance, quality assurance, client satisfaction, etc.;
  • Prepare licensure documentation annually and lead preparation for State review every two (2) years;
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, hiring, orientation and training of clinic staff;
  • Responsible for annual performance evaluations of department staff, program development and overseeing ongoing staff education and training;
  • Oversees administration of the Victim of Crime’s Act (VOCA) program;
  • Conduct regular department staff meetings;
  • Participates in JFS Board Committee meetings as staff liaison, prepare/provide periodical reports/presentations as requested, etc;
  • Participates in preparation of an annual budget, monitors expenses and revenues and develops corrective action plans, as needed;
  • Collaborates in developing, executing and monitoring the clinic marketing plan with the V.P. of Development and Communication.
  • Collaborates in external partnership engagement, QA/QI projects, and program development with the V.P. of Programs and Services

General

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable vehicle, and automobile insurance coverage throughout employment and successfully pass a MVR and insurability check.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and/or willingness to learn Jewish culture and traditions and those of the Agency population as necessary.
  • Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check with the Wisconsin Department of Justice and a caregiver background check with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Department of Children and Families and the Department Safety and Professional Services.
  • Candidates must pass a Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender and Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry screening.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT credential issued by the State of Wisconsin (or PhD in Psychology, Psychiatry, or related field) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in and managing a mental health clinic, other clinical service, and/or in administration of a social services agency, required;
  • Demonstrate ability for critical thinking, problem solving and strategic management;
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Possess a collaborative and inclusive leadership style;
  • Ability to relate effectively to community agencies, boards, referral sources, etc.;
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, agency staff, volunteers, donors, board members, etc.;
  • Knowledge, understanding and/or willingness to learn Jewish culture and traditions.
