Job Summary:

Responsible to maintain the cleanliness and safety ofassigned area following established procedures. Ensures that all residents and staff service requests, as directed byyour supervisor, are completed with a sense of urgency. Use proper care of equipment and control theusage of cleaning supplies. COVID VACCINATIONS REQUIRED. Day and evening shifts available

Responsibilities:

• Cleans and disinfects residentareas, restrooms, showers/baths, resident dining rooms, utility rooms,corridors, stairwells and elevators.

• Emptiesand relines trash containers taking trash to designated holding area

• Dustmop, vacuum, and damp mops floors,

• Cleans and disinfects all hightouch surfaces including over-bed tables, light switches, shower stalls,restroom sink and toilet fixtures

• Vacuum/dampwipes ledges, over-bed lights, vents, windowsills and furniture.

• Cleansinside of room glass and glass panels

• Replenished paper towel, toiletpaper and soap supplies to ensure these items are always available.

• Ensuresthat all furniture is neatly and properly arranged.

• Performs terminal cleaning ofresident rooms upon discharge. Inaddition to daily cleaning responsibilities must clean and disinfect bedmattress and frame, bed side cabinets, Armoires, wheelchairs.

• Shampoos/extractcarpets and upholstered furniture.

• Scrubsand refinished hard surface flooring.

Safety andSanitation

• Followestablished policies regarding the use of labels and SDS.

• Use appropriate personal protectiveequipment and supplies when handling infectious materials and/or hazardouswaste or chemicals and disposed PPE properly.

• Disposeof refuse daily or as often as required in accordance with standard procedures/

• Ensureproper cleaning cart set-up and that all chemicals are in are containersproperly labeled.

• Followthe prescribed routine/terminal cleaning procedures as established by nursing.

• Ensures that appropriatecaution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing job functions.
