Jewish Federation of St. Louis is Hiring a Community Coordinator Near St. Louis, MO

Jewish Federation of St. Louis has an excellent opportunity for a Community Coordinator to join our team to support our local ElevateEd efforts. This position is a 24-month, part-time role at 20 hours per week with an hourly pay range between $28-$33/hour.

Our Community Coordinator plays an integral role as a connector to the St. Louis Jewish early childhood centers, helping to coordinate professional development, the hiring of new teachers, and establishing a healthy and cohesive early childhood ecosystem, all with the guidance and support of the national ElevatEd effort. The Community Coordinator will report to and receive additional support from the Director of Community Impact of Jewish Federation of St. Louis. The person in this position will also become part of a national cohort of other communities implementing the ElevatEd initiative.

Requirements for the Community Coordinator role at Jewish Federation of St. Louis:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Possesses demonstrated knowledge of Childhood Development and Early Childhood Jewish Education (ECJE) as well as knowledge of the local ECJE landscape
  • Possesses established relationships with ECJE directors within the St. Louis region
  • Is recognized locally as a leader in ECJE
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates an ability to multi-task and is highly organized

Responsibilities for the Community Coordinator role include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

  • Serving as the local liaison to the national project team, including meeting regularly with national staff to work on and monitor progress in the community including providing bi-annual reports on the progress of initiatives to national staff. This work also includes convening at local meetings with educators for the community at once-monthly, in-person meetings; and other duties as assigned to provide support for national staff.
  • Implementing the project’s core components, including supporting local schools in recruitment of new teachers and supporting local schools in delivering and scheduling core curriculum components in partnership with ElevatEd leadership; this also includes conducting regular check ins with school communities and ECE Directors;
  • Working with ECE Directors to bridge gaps in new educator core curriculum learning and helping to bring key concepts and curriculum to schools;
  • Adhering to evaluation requests from Rosov Consulting and ensuring survey completion and participating in interviews and other requests from ElevatEd’s evaluation partner;
  • Meeting regularly with other Community Coordinators and participating in special training for Community Coordinators;
  • Other duties as assigned

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
