JERRY PATE TURF AND IRRIGATION is Hiring a Commercial Service Advisor Near Pensacola, FL

Job Summary: This position assists in supervision of day-to-day shop operations and serves as the liaison between the customer and Service department. In addition, this position oversees workflow and schedules (shop and/or field), interviews new candidates, and provides performance input. The Service Advisor assists the Service Manager as needed and ensures customer satisfaction by making sure equipment is fixed right the first time, and repairs are completed efficiently and when promised. This position works Monday through Friday. No weekend work.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct service consultations with customers providing technical assistance.
  • Proactively notify customers of any changes on promise date and contact customers weekly to give updates on repair status.
  • Schedule pickup and delivery for drivers. Supply drivers with proper paperwork and forms.
  • Schedule and manage Field Service transactions
  • Create service calls and sales orders for all internal and external customers.
  • Order/Transfer approved parts for service repair work. Manage inventory and cycle count for shop and field service parts.
  • Monitor progress of each repair order to achieve proper turnaround.
  • Review open sales orders, deliveries, and service calls weekly.
  • Maintain customer contact through the entire repair process.
  • Assist with logistics scheduling for equipment and assist with monthly delivery allocations.
  • Monitor progress of commercial equipment sales needs: New Setups, Demos, and Black Tags.
  • Ensure new delivery packages are properly assembled and schedule logistics to meet required delivery dates.
  • Document all warranty Sales Orders in SAP. Detail each order with 3 C’s from notes received from technician.
  • Perform Quality control check of all equipment for operation, safety, proper configuration, all paperwork, delivery portfolio and cleanliness.
  • Assist the Service Manager in planning and developing strategies to improve market share, customer relations, productivity, profitability, and our pursuit to CSI to 9 .

Preferred Competencies, Qualifications, and Skills:

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years related work in a customer care capacity or equivalent combination of experience and/or training
  • Evidence of technical education in hydraulics, electrical diagnostics and engines
  • Past supervisory experience preferred

Abilities Required:

  • Perform 80% of duties while standing
  • Bend, kneel, or lie under equipment
  • Lift up to 75 pounds
  • Read and interpret documents such as service manuals, schematics, technical documents, and email
  • Pass the basic technical certifications within 1 year, electrical, four stroke, hydraulic, diesel
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
