Jericho Road Community Health Center is Hiring a Behavioral Health Therapist Near Buffalo, NY
SUPERVISOR: Behavioral Health Director
HOURS: Varied Hours, M-F, Flexible (Evening/Weekend as needed)
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt TRAVEL / LOCATION: Barton Street
SALARY: $23-$24/Hour
JOB SUMMARY: Our team is looking for a licensed therapist to provide out-patient mental health services for patients of Jericho Road Community Health Center. The ideal candidate would be comfortable producing comprehensive assessments and implementing viable treatment plans for a range of presenting problems. If you have experience with trauma-informed care and desire to work with diverse, multilingual populations, we want to hear from you.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC-P, LMFT or a LMHC with a NYS License to practice.
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.
- Experience with electronic health records is a plus.
- Experience working with diverse, multilingual populations highly desired.
Essential Job Duties
PATIENT CARE
- Complete thorough patient assessment.
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans for patients.
- Engage patient in a healthy therapeutic relationship.
- Advocate for patient needs when necessary.
- Refer patient to needed care within JRCHC or outside resources.
COORDINATION
- Maintain a caseload of approximately 30 one-hour patient sessions per week.
- Collaborate with Providers, Interpreters, and Care Coordinators to ensure holistic care.
- Submit service activity logs, weekly and monthly schedules, time sheets and mileage to the Behavioral Health Manager in a timely manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Exert up to 50lbs. pushing, pulling, or lifting. Walking, climbing stairs required. Able to talk/hear communicate with others with or without reasonable accommodation.
