Jered, a division of PAR Systems, seeks a Continuous Improvement Manager for our Brunswick, Georgia facilities. This key role aims to elevate our operations processes through comprehensive Continuous Improvement strategies, focused on the analysis, measurement, and enhancement of business operations to increase efficiency, productivity, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will exhibit a systematic approach to problem-solving and process improvement within a manufacturing environment.

With over 60 years of experience in designing, building, and supporting products for every combatant ship in the US Navy, Jered is a renowned defense contractor specializing in a wide range of critical equipment, including anchor windlasses, capstans, mooring and towing winches, steering gear systems, cargo handling systems, pontoon roadways and bridging, and aircraft, cargo, and weapons elevators.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a relevant field, with a proven track record in facilitating continuous improvement.
  • Demonstratable ability to implement lean principles in a low volume / high variability environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification required.
  • Profound understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Single Piece Flow, Five S's, Visual Management, Kaizen, and Statistical Problem Solving.
  • Demonstrable ability to provide expert knowledge and guidance in the implementation of continuous improvement strategies.
  • Defense industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to meet multiple project deadlines effectively utilizing available resources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
