JELD-WEN is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Stayton, OR
The is a crucial role within our organization, that helps us fill in some areas where we have historically had gaps, we are looking for someone who is highly organized, has strong attention to detail, and possesses excellent communication skills.
Requirements Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience working in accounts payable or a similar role
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Software
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and general accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Document Retention using Docklink CASS, sales force, and scanning/indexing shipping documents.
- Handle projects assigned by Office and Shipping managers.
- Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental systems and policies.
- Cross training, this position will be trained to respond to escalations from Customer Service, Customer Care, and Sales regarding shipping issues and customer complaints/requests. As well as Cass reporting and other related tasks completed by co-workers.
- Daily invoicing of all outgoing product morning and afternoon. Supporting documentation to be saved in accordance with company and government requirements.
- Distribution of Back-Ordered product list to customer service and shipping personnel.
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Set up new vendors using the tools available.
- Work with vendors to clear up any discrepancies.
- Matching invoices to purchase orders reporting variances and adjusting receipts.
- Docklink scan and index receiving documents and supporting paperwork for materials received.
- Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due.
- Assisting the administration team with other tasks or on special projects when needed.
- Retrieves and sorts all incoming mail delivering to correct department or recipient.
- Prepares outgoing mail adding correct postage and delivering to post office daily.
- This position operates in an Office/warehouse environment.
