Medical Assistant- Float Pool
Location: Jefferson City, MO, 65109
Job Description
The Medical Assistant- Float Pool will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals in various departments. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and answering phones
- Assist with medical procedures, such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
- Float to various departments as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant program
- Certification as a medical assistant
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to float to various departments as needed
