  • Serve as the Program Coordinator for the Missouri Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program.
  • Responsible for the development and administration of the GME program funding work plan, including overseeing project activities, reporting requirements, and associated contracts; coordination with other agencies; development of materials; provision of technical assistance and training; and program evaluation activities, including collecting, tabulating, and interpreting required data.
  • Responsible for monitoring funding recipients to ensure adherence to contract deliverables and requirements and facilitating activities between stakeholders, partners, and contractors.
  • Develop partnerships, collaborate with federal, state and community stakeholders, and provide technical assistance and guidance on program needs.
  • Assist with additional health care workforce development efforts within the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care.
  • This position requires some statewide and national travel, including overnight.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position requires a high level of written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate is someone who can build impactful partnerships, has excellent organizational and networking skills, and is a visionary with innovative problem-solving and advanced critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience with writing and administering grants, contracts, and budget development management.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with or knowledge of graduate medical residency programs.
  • Requires knowledge of current trends and developments in public health, medical sciences, and health care; the ability to plan, organize, implement, administer, and complete complex assignments; the ability to interpret and explain policies, laws, and operations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three to five years of professional experience in public health, mental health, environmental health, education, social services, public or business administration, health care, and/or health care administration. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
  • Experience using technology and a variety of computer programs (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing, and online survey platforms) for coordinating activities and project reporting.
