Job Description

The Medical Assistant- Float Pool will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals in various departments. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications
• Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and answering phones
• Assist with medical procedures, such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
• Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
• Float to various departments as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a medical assistant program
• Certification as a medical assistant
• Experience working in a healthcare setting
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to float to various departments as needed
