Essential Functions:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (35 %)
* Enters accounts payable invoices into the general ledger system on an ongoing basis
* Prepares, coordinates approval and signing, and distributes accounts payable checks biweekly including entry into the general ledger system
* Responds to vendor inquiries
* Enters electronic payments in general ledger system and prepares monthly report
* Reconciles agency credit card monthly and insures that appropriate receipts and transaction coding are obtained. Enters credit card activity in general ledger system.
* Maintains and reconciles agency petty cash at least monthly
* Maintains Annual Fund donor ledger, full donor report, and Board member giving chart
* Prepares and send gift acknowledgement letters to donors
* Maintains grants management records
* Enter contributions in accounting software
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE (25 %)
* Prepares monthly billings for programs (Afterschool, Preschool, Day Camp, etc.)
* Collects receivables from agency program clientele
* Applies cash receipts to receivables; enter receipts in general ledger system
* Prepares bank deposits
* Enters camp charges and payments into the general ledger system and insures quality of camp financial data
* Reconciles credit card merchant processor reports to the general ledger
* Responds to credit card chargebacks
* Maintains accounting hard copy files
* Assists with annual financial statement audit including fieldwork requests
* Prepares check requisition for withheld garnishments monthly
* Reconciles camp management system (CampMinder) to the general ledger
* Other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer
GENERAL ACCOUNTING (20 %)
* Assists with annual financial statement audit including fieldwork requests
* Prepares check requisition for withheld garnishments monthly
* Reconciles camp management system (CampMinder) to the general ledger
* Other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer
GRANTS/DONORS DATA MANAGMENT (20 %)

Minimum Qualifications:
* Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
* Proficient with accounting software.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Salary:
$45,000 - $55,000
