JBT currently has a great opportunity for a Key Accounts Engineer to join the Proseal team just south of Manchester.

Proseal uk Ltd is a company that designs and manufactures high quality tray sealing and conveying systems for the food industry and has manufacturing facilities in the UK, North America, and Australia. Having been established for over 20 years, demand for the Proseal product is growing and we are responsible for developing many plastic based alternatives for preserving the life of and carrying food safely. Formed in 1998, Proseal has not only become the leading manufacturer of tray sealing machinery and tooling in the UK but is now also recognised as a major force internationally with manufacturing facilities in United states and Australia along with offices in Ireland, Holland, Spain, Canada, South America and Dubai. 

The Opportunity ...

Main Purpose of Job:

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a number of UK based customer accounts, and the ultimate aim of the successful applicant will be to deliver an unrivalled level of customer service, the purpose of which is to give the customer no need, or justification, to consider any other tray-sealing supplier.

Jobholder Responsibilities:

The perfect candidate is required to travel across the UK to forge and maintain strong working relationships with key customers, whilst exhibiting an in-depth product knowledge of Proseal equipment.

• Dealing with customer sales enquires at all levels, from simple tooling enquiries to advising customer on the purchase of complete production lines / fleets of equipment
• Advising and aiding the customer in the correct upkeep of their Proseal equipment, including its planned preventative maintenance (PPM) & preventing its obsolescence
• Assisting customers in the development of new tray-sealed products
• Helping customers to gain the full production capacity from their Proseal equipment
• Dealing with urgent customer issues in the form of a constant point of contact
• Working with Design and Projects teams to negotiating customer URS documents
• Working with JBT legal counsel to negotiate customer specific contracts and or supply agreements
• Maintaining up-to-date customer information within the ProNet business management system and salesforce, including all quotations, leads, and orders.
• Working closely with all departments within Proseal to realise the above.

Communication:

The role of a Key Accounts Engineer carries with it a certain level of responsibility. To that end, the successful applicant must present a strong image of the company at all times.

• You will receive your instructions from the Key Accounts Manager and must work in an efficient manner. You will communicate in an appropriate manner with people at all levels, including all levels of the customer business.
• You will be required to hold a current driving license and will be expected to use company vehicles and/or property in a competent, efficient, and responsible manner at all times
• People and or Project Management experience is a plus.

• The ideal applicant would have completed a recognised apprenticeship in either electrical or mechanical engineering or have a similar qualification as a result of training in Proseal’s apprenticeship scheme.
• A technical background with industry specific knowledge.
• English language, written and verbal,
• Computer literate, with experience in MS office products
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, company first attitude.
• Comfortable working within food industry factory environments as well as office-based work.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate in an appropriate manner with people at all levels of industry, internal and external.

The jobholder will be allocated with a company vehicle (commercial) or personal car allowance, a company phone, and laptop.
