General Manager Retail Store Operations needed for our high volume retail specialty food organization. This position is responsible for all store functions and must be results driven with an entrepreneurial spirit. The Director of Store Operations must provide strong leadership and set a clear vision for the store management team. Our ideal candidate must have multiple location retail food experience that will facilitate the growth of our company.

Essential Job Duties:

• Strategic Planning
• Responsible for store P&L & GP margins
• Manage and coordinate all store operations
• Supervise the entire store management team including security and facilities management, and assess performance
• Responsible for inventory management and profit margins
• Responsible for the development, execution and administration of policies and procedures
• Oversee and approve all schedules and schedule changes, and ensure budgets are maintained
• Oversee the training and development of store managers and all associates
• Achieve store sales goals by ensuring exceptional merchandising of products (incl signage), store cleanliness and employee engagement
• Teach and reinforce behaviors that ensure that managers and associates deliver excellent customer service
• Responsible for compliance with all Govmt agencies incl passing all DOH, DOA, NYC fire dept R&R, etc.
• Responsible for purchase & maintenance of equipment/construction and negotiate service contracts
• Responsible for yearly Category Mgmt process

Required Experience and Education:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a multi store retail food environment as senior store management or district management ( High volume preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required (MBA preferred)
