Retail Store Manager:

The Retail Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Filson company retail store. The Filson brand is built on a reputation of excellent product quality and performance as well as exceptional customer service. This position serves customers by providing merchandise and supervising staff. In addition, the Retail Manager, in conjunction with Filson's Marketing department is responsible for store promotion and advertising to the local community. Grass root events are an important part of this promotion, and the Manager is the primary liaison with these groups and events.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional service to all customers through sales, customer service and clientele.
• Identifies current and future customer needs by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to better understand service expectations.
• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees follow up on work results.
• Selects store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and discipline employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
• Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving shipments; maintaining inventories.
• Ensure that Filson Standards and Operating Standards are met or exceeded to support brand consistency.
• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Responsible for overall appearance of the store, including mechanical operations as well as fixtures and overall maintenance of the store. Insure that outside services for maintained and improvement are recruited as needed.
• Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
• Be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional selling skills, customer service, and clientele

• 5 years management in Retail Operations.
• Management proficiency and leadership skills.
• Tracking budgets expenses and financial acumen.
• Results Driven
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• PC based computer skills; with Word, Excel, and telecommunication experience.
• Involvement in company marketed activities and products, with the ability to gain rapport and respect of key participants in such events.
