We are looking for a proven salesman ready to take their income to the next level by making a strong contribution to our company. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for executing the sales strategy to identify and gain new customers. This Business Development Manager will focus on opportunities regarding chemicals and services for Frac Chemicals, Production Chemicals, and Water Treating at the retail level or wholesale level with toll blending services too.

JAN is a fast-paced environment with big rewards for high achievers. We expect you to bring real business opportunities to the table within 30 days and close sales within 90 days.

This position reports to the executive level.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and close new business opportunities – products and customers
  • Develop and grow those customers you capture
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Support market strategies and goals of leadership
  • Utilize the electronic sales tools provided to track sales calls and opportunities
  • Research and maintain list of potential customers
  • Report industry trends and technical developments which are impacting target markets
  • Work closely with Operations team for excellent execution of opportunities.
  • Engage technical team regarding specific customer needs
  • Ensure customer expectations are managed appropriately
  • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction
  • Follow and promote our Mission Vision and Values
  • Must be self-motivated and devote full energies to this position.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business/Marketing, or appropriate technical discipline
  • 5 years Sales experience in at least one of the following Oil and Gas Sectors: Completions / Frac / Water Treating Chemicals and Services
  • Strong existing relationships with perspective customers
  • A list of current relevant customer contacts
  • Proven record of success in sales
  • Ability to sell and provide solutions
  • Excellent negotiating, communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships throughout the customers organization
  • Understanding commercial and contract language
  • Technical solutions facilitator
  • Willingness to work with and teach others

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Field/site environment with visits to field locations
  • Office environment with desk
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and must be worn when on yards & jobsite locations:
    • Safety Glasses, Hard hats, FR Clothing and other as required by customer.
  • Light to moderate physical effort required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly required to walk, reach and move about the facility
  • Able to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time
  • Able to work around hazardous chemicals and in Oil & Gas Operational conditions
  • Ability to be present at field office during denoted work hours, which may be altered occasionally to accommodate delivery of programs
  • Ability to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze certain information, instructions and guidelines
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
