Job Summary

The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for performing HR-related duties. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee hiring/recruitment, employee onboarding, file maintenance, employee relations, employee training and policy implementation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Employee Recruitment, Hiring, and Onboarding
    • Maintains open job listings, screen potential new hires, and schedule interviews with appropriate staff.
    • Reviews and processes completed applications and documentation for new hires.
    • Provide new hires with basic orientation and technology needs
  • Maintain Personnel Files
    • Process all personnel forms as relates to hiring, termination, medical insurance, and coverage.
    • Creates and maintains content for personnel files.
  • Employee Relations and Performance Management
    • Supports management in completing and processing incident reports, corrective action documentation, personal improvement plans, and recommendations for termination.
  • Maintain Employee Benefits
    • Ensures company benefits are communicated with employees
    • Coordinates annual open enrollment communications and election process
    • Assist with benefits changes due to Status Changes and Qualifying events
  • Reports & Tracks Workman’s Compensation and Insurance Claims.
  • Tack training needs including OSHA required training.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • Three years Human Resources experience
  • Microsoft Office suite, experience with CRM database management software, QuickBooks.
  • Effective communication, customer service, and technical skills
  • Positive and energetic personality
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
