Jacksonville Classical Academy's mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue.

We are looking for a qualified and highly motivated Preschool Teacher Assistant who can work well with a variety of individuals. This position requires an awareness of child development and the ability to adapt to the personalities and needs of students. The successful candidate will have experience preparing fun activities and lessons, as well as communicating ideas to young children in an engaging manner. Experience with activities such as painting, reading and counting is a big plus!

Responsibilities:

• Able to assist in the development of young children.
• Motivate children to accomplish set goals.
• Develop skills in literacy, math, art, and music.
• Understanding of developmental stages in a child's life.
• Work with other teachers and staff members to plan events and programs for children.
• Make sure all classroom rules are followed by children.
• Teach preschoolers cognitive skills such as language, counting, and writing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
