Ivy Hall Academy is Hiring a Physical Education Teacher Near Provo, UT

Ivy Hall Academy seeks to hire a Part-Time (14 hours per week: Monday-Thursday 12pm-3pm; Friday 12pm-2pm) PE Teacher for our elementary and high school students (Kindergarten - 12th grade). We prefer teachers with experience teaching elementary age students and sound knowledge of organizing fun and engaging activities, physical education, and health principals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction to each student using blended learning models
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
  • Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
  • Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
  • Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
  • Ensure students participate working on both self and team physical activities

  • Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures

  • Bachelor's degree in teaching or in a specialized subject such as PE or Health; certificate in education preferred but not required. Must have a certification in fitness or athletic training; or be working on one prior to hiring date. Pay range is $20 per hour depending on experience and education level.
  • Hiring will take place before school begins, contract to be signed as soon as best candidate is found. The school year will begin August 2024 and end May 2025.
