Ivy Hall Academy seeks to hire a Part-time High School and Middle School Math Teacher. We require a teacher with experience teaching math and classroom control, but are open to enthusiastic teachers who are willing to learn. We are looking for someone able to work mornings for 5-10 hours per week. Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Classes are to be determined and will include any of the following: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry and/or Pre Calculus.

Responsibilities

• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use technological means to facilitate learning
• Provide individualized instruction to each student using blended learning models
• Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.) using project-based learning
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback to students and parents
• Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events including field trips
• Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.

• Bachelor's degree in teaching or in a specialized subject; certificate in education preferred but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
