Job Summary:
As a Business Development Representative at Ivey Design Build, you will play a crucial role in becoming a subject matter expert on our company's service offerings and executing strategies for growth and development in the construction and interior design industry. You will focus on providing solutions to our clients' needs, developing sales messaging and strategies, and maintaining professional relationships. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, passionate, and possesses strong interpersonal communication skills.
Primary Functions & Job Specific Responsibilities
· Identify and Analyze prospective customers and develop strategies for maximal growth in the construction and interior design industry.
· Develop sales messaging and strategies aligned with customer needs to ensure appropriate clients gain access to our construction and interior design services.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge of the construction and interior design industry by staying current with changes and trends.
· Leverage provided resources and technology for success in business development efforts.
· Create and utilize marketing tools to capture customer needs and develop strategies for continued business growth.
· Collaborate with internal team members to ensure a cohesive message is delivered.
· Resolve customer feedback by investigating opportunities for development and preparing reports to capture areas of opportunities and propsed resolutions.
· Apply coaching feedback from direct manager with the intention of improving various skillsets.
· Timely completion of administrative duties, including expense reports and other administrative actions.
· Work cohesively with internal customers, including engineering, administrative staff, and superintedents.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
· Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the construction or interior design industry.
· Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals and building long-term business partnerships.
· Strong customer service, problem-solving, and time management skills.
· Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to work outside of normal business hours (8-5), including evenings and weekends as needed to attend events and meet client needs.
· Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel, with experience in PowerPoint and iOS devices.
· Integrity, customer focus, and reliability.
· Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
· Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
· Reliable transportation
· Report to the CEO on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
