Local Area Manufacturer with a long successful history is experiencing extensive growth in the size of our workforce and the time to manage employee feedback dictates we hire an experienced Human Resource Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for all human resource activities, recruitment, programs, benefits, policies, and procedures. This individual will also be responsible for leading the company's training and succession planning. A successful candidate should be familiar with best practices in all the areas of responsibility and have a demonstrated track record of initiating and delivering positive change in the organization. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of complicated tasks.
- This position is part of the key management team and will work closely with team members to develop the organization's strategies and objectives.
- This position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with governmental regulations preferred. Should have a strong financial background and knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strategic Recruitment develops a system and procedures to proactively identify prime candidates for open positions in the company.
- Develop a system to attract those prime candidates even though they may be currently employed and not actively looking to make a change.
- Develop relationships with local schools to help identify and hire quality candidates.
- Work closely with Managers to identify both current and future needs and find and develop candidates to fill those needs.
- Develop procedures to eliminate unqualified candidates and applicants.
- Establish a set of recruiting/retention metrics to measure and improve effectiveness of recruiting, on-boarding, and employee retention.
